Naming The Willys

Spoke with Bob yesterday, he had a stent installed and they will evaluate him in 30 days to see what else they have to do. God is great and prayer is the answer.

Now back to the Willys. I am thinking of naming this vehicle The Termite Express. Est 1951 Bugs Give Me The Willys. Just fooling around but your thoughts are welcome.

Well the console mock up is in. I wasted a day playing with cardboard and mocking up a console but to no avail and I installed the one created by Keith (Paul Bunyon). He has done a great job on the wood. So now I will start to move the wires to the console and then the radio. In the rear will be an amp (yes, I are young so I need amps) and 2 speakers. I will consult my stereo expert, Brian the DB Expert. His motto is if the paint don't move the radio ain't got enough bass.

Sometimes Cars Just Don't Matter

Cars don't matter, friends do. This picture shows my high school buddy, Bobby Gonsalves. I had not seen him since 1959 when we left high school together to conquer the world. Bobby was one of my best friends and we attended many classes together. He lives in Daytona Beach and I received a phone call about a week ago to ask me if I was the "Real Prentiss Yates". I mean what a question how many "Real" ones could there be? Well I went to Daytona for Bike Week on Thursday and then to Bobby's house after. We spent a couple of hours together and it was like 50 years was wiped away in a flash. It was just good to see someone without any pretenses and just enjoy our friendship. I was going to send him some photos of our class and called for his email address on Saturday. His girlfriend, Janice, told me that Bobby had a heart attack Friday night and was in ICU. I am going to call today and pray for Bobby and his well being.

On The Road Again

Well let's just say I got lazy and didn't post, as I learned in the Army: Just 3 responses; Yes Sir, No Sir, and No Excuse Sir. Other than that I have many excuses. The first road trip was to The Christian Motorcyclists Association State Rally and with the station wagon and the Assistant Driver, no radio, just the car noise, still needs more insulation and in the wind. But there was a squeak and all you can imagine is paint versus paint and 230 miles later safe and sound in the garage I found the squeak. This stupid hold down was squeaking like a *Paint Destroying Out of Space Tool* designed to scrape that could be used to scrape the paint off a battleship, remember the nails on a blackboard?
